Out The Laundry Chute

November 22, 2020

Meanwhile while Harry was enjoying his drink by a caribbean bay and Betty Lou and her imps were casting fires, Chuck had landed in a pile of putrid green and yellow stained sheets in the laundry room. Choking, gasping and shaking the offensive sheets from his body, Chuck emerged from the pile of offensive laundry.

“Why me?” he cried. “When my next assignment rotation comes up, I’m finished with hospital detail. No more guarding patients from themselves, visitors from another planet, and ambulance chasing attorneys.” Being a hospital guard, well, It was a fight for survival . Every day brought dangerous trials for him. Now here he was searching for a crook in Tight skinny pants and a passion for murder.

Looking around he found only the area around the laundry chutes was lit up. So he pulled out his lighter and pushed the ignition and watched the spark turn the flicker to a flame. Then he surveyed the room and found a safe like door. What’s Behind the Door? he wondered.

He could hear chanting and screaming and the beating of drums and clanking of chains coming from inside. Where were  Rory, Mintzy and the other officers? What was he to do? And who was that little fellow with the fake mustache and Distressed outfit standing outside it. He was drinking a chocolate fizz and every time he took a sip, it left a Drink mustache  on his upper lip. Moving with caution Chuck walked over to the little fellow and asked If he’s seen a group of men and a woman carrying a hospital patient.

Betty Lou’s watchdog grinned evilly and replied, “Nobody like that been bye here dude.”

Chuck eyed him with suspicion. “Uh, could you tell me what’s behind the door? I need to see what is in there.”
“I don’t know, fellow,” said the little guy. I”ve been here all day and it’s been closed. As you can see it is locked up tight.

“Well, I have to get in there,” said Chuck. “Just a minute while I call my fellow officers and we’ll break in. I have a feeling our missing policeman is in there.”

He turned and dialed Mintzy. Not noticing the glow that suddenly engulfed the little man.

“To be effortlessly yourself is a blessing, an ambrosia. It is like a few tiny little puffs of opium which lift you ever so slightly off the hard surface of the world.” But these past six days my prism has been dulled by an ugly bout of pneumonia. Add to it an unknown source of bleeding and my moon is a  bad moon rising. The man in the moon isn’t singing a  Moonlight serenade or spreading moondust to cheer me up. Hopefully he’ll blow a pop of smoke, enough to make a happy cloud cover that will protect me from getting any worse.

I see K-9 in the long tail behind the moon. He gives me hope.

I’m skipping the story this week. No concentration. I wish you all the best.

A Wicked Frenzy

November 8, 2020

Horrified McManus watched as Betty Lou in a wicked frenzy went off the deep end. Developed into a furious and malignant, incredibly evil, grotesque old rabid fire breathing Medusa.

With murderous laughter, she cast a circle around the room. “This night I declare no man nor woman shall escape the devil’s power. Into this circle shall the earth be imprisoned. I mote an asp to poison with, a lizard to shed its fire, a banshee to call the devil’s bidding into my cauldron of bubbling disaster. Then she lifted her pitchfork wand and a hell breathing fire erupted around her circle.

McManus gasped, “You are vomiting blasphemy Betty Lou.” I don’t know where this Harry is or why you need his paper. But my friends are coming and will stop you.” “Oh God please let me be right”, he silently prayed as he watched the yellow ball slowly wobble across his chin.

Betty Lou cackled “ Don’t wanna prove you wrong but shit, you leave me with no option. And she aimed her wand, sending McManus to hang over the cauldron.
“Yeah!, Yeah!” her imps and crew shouted. And set out to find Harry.

Meanwhile Harry is enjoying himself  Wasting time on a Slow travel vacation with a Relaxing drink of Long Island iced tea.  His Ocean view is A view to kill of a tropical Blue lagoon. While sittin’ on the dock of the bay he thinks, “  It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, so I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink till mananja”, unaware of the turmoil his formula is causing.

The Devil Stirs

November 1, 2020

The Devil Stirs,

A   blonde haired, blue eyed girl sits Patiently waiting in a French cafe. Thinking “Sweet tea needs that sugar stirring should I add One lump or two to my afternoon tea.” She’s the Woman in blue and white shirt, Pink lips, Rose choker necklace and   Black beret teasing the fellows who stare at her beauty.
I’d Be Lion  or is it lying? I’m no good at spelling. But I want to saunter over and whisper in her ear, “ Take my hand and we’ll make it – I swear

“What shall we make my cop boy?” she snarls. As the blonde beauty turns into Betty Lou tickling his chin with a knife.

And MaMullan wakes up in a fright.

“I must have Harry’s note before the witching hour tonight. The devil stirs, commands his obedience . His words are written in blood, what hell we’ll bring to this earth.”  And with those words the room suddenly fills with dancing imps holding on to  Helium filled spears all pointed at him.

What more could happen? He looked. The ant filled ball still balanced on his nose, the walls were closing in with horrors of creepy crawlers and the imps floated with menace towards him.

“Last chance McManus! Or I’ll let the devil have you”
